Soooooo. While I was working in Stencyl this morning, it decided to delete the tiles in the tile set that I was editing and using for most of the levels I was working in. So now I am scrambling to rebuild the current test levels but it is not as easy as just placing the new tiles back into the rooms. The collision boxes from the old tiles are still there which makes it seem as though the tiles are invisible which makes it possible to actually get through the levels without anything being there.

........ Which now that I think about it, I JUST figured out how to fix that. Haha. This is why it is so important to write things out or talk things out with other people. Haha. Anywho... I will have some new updates coming really soon. :P

An invisible map! How hard would that be!

I know. That would be insane. Haha. But all I had to do was delete the old tile set and the problem was fixed. But since I was forced to rebuild those test levels, it also forced me to take a good look at the current tiles being used and make some updates to them. So the next round of updates will look even more different. :)

Yep. Things were going so slow with the development of this game for the last several months. So it feels really good to actually be making some real progress again. But I still have one major challenge ahead and it is going to be the most difficult part of this entire project. I am going to be switching over to Construct 2 to build the game instead of using Stencyl like I have been.

That is what I am using. It is an affordable engine. Once off payment too (for commercial use). I like how it is setup. Stencyl is good, but a little restricted I feel.
I look forward to seeing your project come alive :)

Stencyl can be very nice and can do a lot of things if you are creative enough. But lately it seems I am running into one issue after another that I just can't sort out (I'm not creative enough. Haha). Construct 2 just seems more stable and has a lot of nice features built in as well as a lot more publishing options. I'll be using the free version until I learn how to use it better.
